Job summary

A global productivity partner for mining and construction is seeking a Service Technician in Mokopane, Limpopo. This role involves providing specialized support for Epiroc machine systems, performing services and repairs, and fostering strong customer relationships. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of mining experience and hold a Trade Qualification, preferably as a Millwright. Proficiency in automation technologies and troubleshooting is essential. The position requires a valid driver’s license and offers a chance to work independently while maintaining high standards.

Your mission as a Service Technician

As a Service Technician, you will drive the success of the Epiroc Surface Drill Rigs product line by leveraging deep technical expertise and a commitment to excellence.

What you’ll do
  • Provide specialized support for Epiroc machine systems, including automation technologies.
  • Perform scheduled services and breakdown repairs on Epiroc RCS and equipment.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with customers.
  • Coach Epiroc and mine site employees on operating, troubleshooting, and repairing Epiroc autonomous and other equipment systems.
  • Perform fault diagnosis, root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
  • Promote and market Field Service work, as well as other Aftermarket services and products, to customers to support the growth of the Aftermarket Department.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) initiatives to identify recurring failures and collaborate with the Product Company to develop sustainable solutions.
  • Liaise with Epiroc Product Company Engineering representatives to enhance product development.
  • Assist with spare parts inquiries and participate in on‑site stocking activities as needed.
  • Report to management regarding any issues affecting Epiroc equipment performance.
What you’ll bring
  • In‑depth technical knowledge of Epiroc Surface Rotary Blasthole Drills.
  • Minimum of 2 years of mining industry experience.
  • Grade 12 and a Trade Qualification (Millwright will be advantageous).
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for Remote Control Systems (RCS).
  • Experience with Trimble High Precision GPS systems.
  • Expertise in automation implementation is advantageous.
  • Strong proficiency in troubleshooting all drill systems.
