About the job Service Engineer Imaging - South Africa
- Technical training or degree, associates or higher; minimum of 4+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- X-Ray, Computer Tomography (CT) and/or Magnetic Resonance (MR) Experience Preferred
- Previous working experience in Philips, holding Philips certification - an advantage
- Expert level troubleshooting skills and capable of evaluating room layout, site planning and service planning
- Must be able to effectively set up and connect hospital networks to Philips remote diagnostic applications.
- Requires superb customer and communication skills.
- Must be organized, self-sufficient and capable of working with little or no supervision.
- Management basic skills
- People management basic skills (small team management)
- Fluent English - mandatory. Portuguese - an advantage.

Responsibilities:
- Start-up, calibration and service of a selection of imaging modalities (CT, MR, X-Ray and Ultrasound)
- Provide expert level to service and install solutions
- Communicate and escalate technical issues and delays
- Keep installation projects on schedule
- Evaluate room layout and installation quality of mechanical install vendors
- Start-up in accordance with factory instructions and specifications
- Troubleshoot technical problems and repair out of box failures
- Correct vendor and factory errors and mistakes; order missing or damaged parts
- Provide feedback to HQ and support center, factory, project management and planning.
- Execute all service activities and task on equipment under responsibility.
- Performs complex equipment installation, investigative tests, and repairs installed systems in assigned modalities.
- Maintains tools & parts inventory under own responsibility, support schedule maintenance on tools, test equipment, etc., and completes documents required of all interventions from preventive service, corrective to installations.
- Performs complex service or systems calls and interfaces with customer personnel to provide quality service and feedback on problem evaluation and resolution.
- Performs assessment of complex product/equipment performance based on field data and recommends modifications or improvements.
- Successfully demonstrates thorough/ advanced knowledge of a technical or specialty area.
- Generally, 4-5 years of successful experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above
