Job Description
As a Senior Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future success of our clients by providing strategic guidance, innovative solutions, and driving organisational growth. Over the course of each project, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Building strong and trustworthy connections with clients to better understand their businesses and provide tailored assistance
- Collaborating closely with clients to understand their business objectives, challenges, and opportunities, providing expert guidance and strategic insights
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and analysis of organisational structures, processes, and culture to identify areas for improvement and recommend tailored strategies
- Defining problems concisely and hypothesising proposed solutions
- Collaborating effectively with multiple teams to find the best solutions and inspire individuals and organisations to take action and the ability to work unsupervised on tasks that contribute to a collaborative project
- Creating and presenting plans to implement suggested improvements effectively
- Consolidating the results of analysis and offering comprehensive solutions to clients
- Synthesising clear takeaways and recommendations from complex information, using both qualitative and quantitative methods
- Supporting the implementation of change management initiatives, providing guidance and ongoing support to clients throughout the entire transformation process
- Conducting research to stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging methodologies in leadership and organisational development
- Interpreting research material into meaningful insights
- Demonstrating leadership by guiding collaborative delivery, supporting peers, and contributing to capability building within the team
- Utilising effective communication skills to interact effectively with various audiences
- Prioritisingwork to meet deadlines and displaying efficient time management
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-graduate degree or equivalent qualification
- 2 - 4 years of experience in management consulting or equivalent professional services positions, encompassing roles in functional practice management, strategy consulting, or corporate strategy
- Experience in the telecommunications, financial services, and retail sectors, with a strong understanding of African markets
- Proficiency in managing and executing projects, ensuring successful delivery and implementation
- Track record of effectively managing profitable large accounts and successfully overseeing the execution of complex projects
Required skills and abilities
- Proficient in using Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to exceptional client service
- Proficiency in providing vision and strategy for client proposals, ensuring a sound approach
- Excellent report writing skills, conveying information effectively and clearly
- Significant business acumen, understanding the key drivers of organisational success
- Core consulting skills, including research, analysis, presentation, and meticulous attention to detail
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, approaching challenges with an analytical, innovative, and creative mindset
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and colleagues
