Job summary

A leading civil engineering consulting firm in Johannesburg is looking for an experienced Resident Engineer to manage and oversee major National Roads infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate must possess a BSc/BEng/BTech in Civil Engineering, must be professionally registered with ECSA as a Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng, and have at least 10 years of post-graduate experience in national roads projects. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with designs and specifications, as well as supervising the construction process.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years’ post-graduate experience, with substantial exposure to national roads projects.
• Proven experience as a Resident Engineer or in a similar senior site-based consulting role.
• Strong knowledge of COLTO, and relevant standards and specifications.

Responsibilities

• On-site management, supervision, and administration of construction works.
• Ensure project delivery in accordance with approved designs, specifications, and contractual requirements.
