Job description

The Faculty of Health Sciences is seeking a highly accomplished Research Professor to lead research projects and supervise students in various fields including cardiology, endocrinology, immunology, lung disease, oncology, maternal and child health, and infectious diseases.

About the Role

This fixed-term contract will last five years, renewable subject to performance.

The successful candidate will receive a pensionable annual salary at the level of a Senior Consultant and will be required to restrict any clinical practice to the equivalent of one day per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality research in assigned areas and publish results in international peer-reviewed journals
• Lead complex research projects, supervise Ph D and Masters students, and manage research teams
• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in their area of expertise
• Contribute to academic assessments and committee work
• Able to manage research teams and budgets while adhering to university policies and procedures
