A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Senior Project Manager for a client in the plant equipment manufacturing industry based in Honeydew. You will manage project negotiations, facilitate team performance, and ensure quality results in line with project management standards. The ideal candidate has a PMI Certification, extensive experience in complex projects, and strong leadership skills. This role is essential for smooth operations and client satisfaction.
Our client, in the plant equipment manufacturing industry, is looking to employ a Senior Project Manager for their branch in Honeydew.
Supervise the final negotiations for the allocated project and provide the execution strategy.
Ensure that the project schedule baseline is signed by the involved parties at the start of the project.
Manage and lead the project team to achieve and further improve the cost, schedule, quality, and EHS targets.
Perform proper risk and opportunity management.
Ensure proper deviation management within the project.
Assess, approve, and expedite technical aspects of change orders and define effective claim strategies towards clients, partners, subcontractors, etc.
Prepare and perform Project Reviews as requested, reporting according to the company's Project Management process.
Responsible for the site briefing meeting; ensure that all site relevant documents are handed over to site personnel.
Liaise with the Project Management Office to establish, implement, and maintain operating standards to ensure quality project results and customer satisfaction.
Develop and maintain corresponding relationships with clients, partners, and main subcontractors to ensure smooth operation of projects and smooth dispute resolution.
Capture return of experience and best practices, applying lessons learned.
Organize and accomplish a debriefing meeting.
Supervise, support, and coach the Project Team Members, providing input to project people performance reviews to functions.
PMI Certification (is advantageous, must as a minimum meet all the criteria to apply and obtain accreditation) Extensive knowledge of the Plant principles and complex projects experience.
Planning, organizing, and coordinating skills in an international environment.
Proven ability to build relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
Minimum 5 years as Project Engineer or proof of sufficient skills.
Basic commercial knowledge for assessing business risks and opportunities to undertake commercial negotiations.
Strong planning, organizing, and priority setting skills, with a proven ability to manage teams.
