Purpose

We're seeking a Senior Professional Engineer to provide high-level services on complex, multidisciplinary projects. You'll be instrumental in supporting management and consultants to ensure the successful delivery of these projects.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Education: Bachelor of Engineering degree or higher from an accredited university.
  • Professional Registration: Mandatory Professional Registration with a relevant engineering council.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of professional experience, with at least 2-3 years post-registration.
  • Technical Acumen: Proven ability to write effective technical reports and a strong grasp of project financial knowledge (budgeting, forecasting, invoicing).
  • Professionalism: You'll present yourself professionally and communicate courteously to build strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Collaboration: A cooperative and flexible work style, thriving in a team environment.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
  • Design Leadership: Lead conceptual and detailed design for complex projects, providing efficient structural engineering solutions. This includes strong emphasis on detailed design, leveraging the latest software, and validating results with first-principle calculations.
  • Project Management & Support: Assist with departmental budgeting and resourcing. You'll also take responsibility for checking the work of others, assign tasks, and supervise engineers / technicians in compliance checks and inspections.
  • Technical Authority: Develop and maintain high design quality, draft high-quality technical reports, and provide insightful technical solutions. You'll also present technical work and service offerings to clients and at conferences.
  • Client & Business Engagement: Identify new work prospects, draft bid responses, and manage sub-consultants. You'll also communicate directly with clients on project matters and develop a strong understanding of project commercial aspects and functional unit technologies.
  • Quality & Efficiency: Ensure quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle and efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously.
