Minimum requirements for the role
- A tertiary qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Previous sales experience having sold industrial raw materials / pigments into the paints and coatings and construction and related industrial chemical manufacturing industry is preferred but not essential for the role.
- Previous sales experience selling into any manufacturing industries is essential.
- Must be results and sales driven as they will take ownership for this industry.
- High degree of professionalism and conduct at all times.
- Strong relationship-building and customer engagement skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
The successful candidate will be responsible for
- Managing and growing strategic customer relationships within the paints and coatings and construction manufacturing industries.
- Increasing market share within the paints and coatings and construction manufacturing markets and related industrial industries.
- Driving and managing customers with the aim of meeting and exceeding the companies long and short-term objectives.
- Formulating business level strategies for achieving growth year on year.
- Identifying potential customers and growth areas as well as conducting market analysis regarding pricing, volume, revenue, GP and marketing activities.
- Preparing, managing and ensuring sales budgets, forecasts and KPIs are achieved.
- Managing forecasting of products to ensure the correct stock levels.
- Regularly reviewing market trends and aligning key account strategies accordingly.
- Developing and implementing sustainable customer relationship strategies enabling sales growth.
- Organising and planning of sales activities to fall in line with strategy and achieving targets.
- Managing and delivering on technical queries regarding speciality and commodity raw materials within the different manufacturing markets.
- Negotiating pricing, supply agreements, and commercial terms with key accounts.
- Working closely with supply chain, logistics, and production teams to ensure reliable and timely deliveries.
