Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Facilities Manager responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of building systems in Cape Town, South Africa. You will manage routine maintenance, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and coordinate with subcontractors. The ideal candidate must have over 10 years of experience in facilities management, a strong technical background, and proven project and financial management skills. Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Facilities Management, Building Maintenance, or Infrastructure Operations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
  • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Proven people management, project management, and financial management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and conduct routine maintenance, repairs of building systems.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure Health & Safety Standards are implemented and adhered to.
  • Project Manage, supervise and coordinate works with sub-contractors.
  • Manage and ensure that all buildings have up-to-date compliance records.
  • Financial control and management of budgets.
