About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Content Writer (UX and Marketing) who is passionate about creating user‑centred, conversion‑focused content that delivers measurable business results. The ideal candidate is a seasoned content strategist who can craft clear, engaging, and sophisticated digital experiences that align with brand objectives and elevate the user journey.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with UX design, marketing, and digital development teams to ensure content is optimised for both usability and performance. You’ll report to the Portfolio Manager for Product Design and play a key role in shaping the tone, structure, and strategy of digital communications.

Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Brand Alignment
  • Develop and implement comprehensive content strategies that enhance user experiences and meet business objectives.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand identity, campaign themes, and creative direction.
Content Creation & Management
  • Write and manage marketing and UX content across multiple channels — including performance marketing, email, social media, digital interfaces, and printed collateral.
  • Create user‑focused UX copy (e.g., CTAs, error messages, onboarding text, and microcopy) that enhances usability and engagement.
SEO, UX, and Technical Optimisation
  • Apply SEO and UX best practices to improve discoverability, accessibility, and overall content quality.
  • Conduct regular content audits to ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevance across platforms.
Campaign & Performance Management
  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to support campaign goals and maintain content consistency.
  • Contribute creative ideas that drive engagement and support both user and business outcomes.
Core Competencies & Experience
  • Proven experience executing content strategy across digital and marketing platforms.
  • Ability to translate creative concepts into clear, actionable content plans.
  • Strong understanding of brand positioning, business growth, and user behaviour.
  • Skilled in writing for various formats — including UX for mobile/web apps, social media, performance marketing, and advertising.
  • Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail.
  • Active, informed presence on social media with a strong grasp of platform‑specific best practices.
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Matric (essential).
  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, UX Design, or related field (essential).
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in content development (preferably in a digital marketing, agency, or UX‑focused environment).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in content strategy and UX writing.
  • Strong experience collaborating with SEO, UX/UI, product, and development teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to create clear, compelling UX copy that improves usability and engagement.
