Duties & Responsibilities
Job Purpose

Reporting to the SAP Manager, the Business Analyst – SAP SD primarily owns and supports the sales and distribution areas specifically Customer Masterdata, Pricing, Quotations, Orders, Deliveries and all the related SAP SD Reports.

This individual works with key stakeholders to review business and development requirements and define efficient and practical approaches to meet the business needs.

They provide day-to-day functional and technical support, ongoing system improvements, and strategic technical system direction.

This individual will act as the gate-keeper for all SAP SD related demand requests and is responsible for the SAP SD processes.

Qualifications required to fulfil the role

A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or operations management related field.

SAP Certification in SD would be advantageous.

Specific Work Experience, Knowledge and Skills required to fulfil the role
  • 5 years minimum experience as SAP SD functional analyst / consultant responsible for configuration and support.
  • Completed at least two full lifecycle SAP implementation projects with demonstrable lead experience.
  • Good knowledge of the functionality of all of the other core SAP modules (FI, CO, MM, PP) and integration points.
  • Strong knowledge of EDI and SAP pricing.
  • Proven ability to take user requirements, design appropriate solutions and carry them through implementation including integration testing and end user training.
  • Good functional and process knowledge of the core business processes for order processing, delivery processing, logistics execution, freight charges, billing, pricing, agreements and rebates.
  • Good understanding of Integration to other SAP and Non-SAP systems.

Key Accountabilities
  • Gather requirements from end users, facilitate business process discussions, and participate in solution design, documentation, configuration, testing, and end user support.
  • Participate in relevant implementations and continuous improvement initiatives, including design, configuration, testing, and implementation.
  • Develop functional specifications for interfaces, data conversions, enhancements and reports.
  • Analyze and design SAP SD processes and systems, assessing the business model and its integration with technology.
  • Design, implementation, support and maintenance of SAP application solutions according to the expressed business need and ensuring adherence to the Group Cybersecurity standards on the application solution concerned.
  • Support, assist and train the users on new modified system configurations highlighting the impact on business processes.
  • Analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing business processes and business requests, and recommend solutions using system standards and best practices.
  • Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with stakeholders.
  • All such duties and / or activities assigned by management as and when required.
