Scrum Master 12 Month Contract

Start Date : 5 January

Location : Johannesburg (Hybrid)

Contract Duration : 12 Months

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master to join their Agile Delivery team on a 12-month contract.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving agile ways of working, facilitating sprint ceremonies, removing impediments and ensuring effective collaboration across cross‑functional squads.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives and reviews).
• Support multiple Agile teams by promoting Agile principles, practices and continuous improvement.
• Remove blockers and ensure that squads are fully enabled to deliver sprint commitments.
• Work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritise work and maintain a healthy backlog.
• Monitor team performance metrics and use data to guide improvements.
• Foster a culture of transparency, trust and accountability within the team.
• Identify and mitigate risks affecting delivery timelines.
• Ensure alignment between business priorities and delivery output.

Minimum Requirements

• 5 years experience working as a Scrum Master within Agile environments.
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
• Proven ability to work across multiple squads in a fast‑paced deadline‑driven environment.
• Certification advantageous (CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master).
• Excellent communication, facilitation and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage pressure and drive outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and cross‑functional collaboration experience.
