Overview
Purpose: My client is looking for a SAP FICO Product Delivery Lead who is responsible for leading product development initiatives, managing end-to-end product lifecycles, and ensuring that all financial products and tools support business objectives, regulatory requirements, and user needs. This individual will work closely with Sales and Distribution teams, Technology partners, and Senior Management to build, refine, and scale OTC products & processes that drive business efficiency, compliance and revenue growth.
Key Accountabilities
- Define and communicate a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap for RTR, TPM and FP&A that aligns with business goals and drive business value and growth. Leading the development and prioritisation of product initiatives based on business priorities, financial analysis, market trends, value realisation and stakeholder input.
- Act as the primary liaison between finance, technology, operations, and executive teams to ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and resource allocation, updating on product development, performance metrics, and strategic impacts to senior management and stakeholders.
- Act as the owner of the Global Template for their respective functional area(s), whilst maintaining the highest level of standards for the design and delivery of new demand and capability.
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, including ideation, design, development, testing, launch, adoption & support. Driving the creation of detailed product requirements, specifications, and documentation to ensure a clear understanding of project goals and user needs.
- Work with finance teams to ensure product financials are aligned with the overall company budget and financial strategy, prioritising initiatives delivering the most value to the business.
- Establish key product and business metrics to understand product and business performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive data-informed decision-making.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of business analysts, functional experts and other relevant team members involved in product development. Fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
Experience Required
- Minimum 10 years SAP FICO experience with at least 7 years’ experience in SAP design, build & test, having been involved in multiple full lifecycle implementations.
- Proven track record and demonstrable experience in SAP design, build & test, having been involved in multiple full lifecycle implementations.
- Proven experience in delivering business transformation programs.
- Deep hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO), FP&A on S/4HANA and SAC, Trade Promotions Management including solution design and delivery.
- Strong SAP technical expertise including up and down stream integration across multiple modules and products such as:
- Concur
- Ariba
- AP Automation
- Multi Bank Connectivity
- SAP Analytics Cloud
- Vendor Invoice Management
- Vistex
- Specific SAP S/4HANA process and configuration experience in Record-to-Report (RTR), Trade Promotions Management (TPM) and FP&A, including:
- Finance Master Data elements
- Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Asset Accounting & Bank Accounting
- Cost/Profit Centre Accounting
- Product Costing & Actual Costing
- Customer Credit Management
- Material Ledger

- Integration between SAP S/4HANA and SAC for FP&A

Skills Required
- Ability to understand a wide range of disciplines in enough detail to communicate effectively with experts in those areas to enable delivery of E2E solutions designs.
- Proven track record of design and deliver end-to-end SAP solutions across multiple disciplines.
- Possess a solid understanding of AGILE development methodologies.
- Ability to understand, explain and present technical ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels up to senior management in a persuasive and convincing manner.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced international business and working with multi-cultural teams in different geographies.
- Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams and delivering outcomes with added value.
- Skilled in building strong external and internal strategic relationships.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Takes the initiative to lead cross-functional and cross-stream topics, whilst driving these to a logical conclusion and arriving at the desired outcomes.
- Willing to step out of their comfort zone to represent the client or their colleagues in conversations requiring attention and direction.
- Identifies opportunities for improvement and channels these via the appropriate forums and teams.
- Ability to assist and guide members of the Application Centre of Excellence, in resolving issues with permanent best-in-class solutions.
- SAP S/4HANA certification(s) in the Record To Report modules a plus.
- SAP S/4HANA certification(s) in other modules would be advantageous.
