Sales Representative (Signage Industry) required in Durban.

Join a well-established, family-run signage manufacturing company that has been in operation for over 35 years. Specialising in road and safety signage, the business services both government and private sector clients across South Africa. The company prides itself on its strong reputation, loyal client base, and a team that values tradition while actively modernising internal systems and operations.

This is a newly created role suited to a driven Sales Representative who is comfortable navigating both factory and construction environments. You will be responsible for growing the company’s revenue by reconnecting with dormant accounts and securing new business from road construction and civil engineering contractors.

Salary: R20 000 – R25 000 basic + commission (based on rolling 3-month performance average).

Minimum Requirements:

• Previous experience in the signage, printing, construction supply, or related industries is highly advantageous.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle (fuel and maintenance costs covered by the company).
• Comfortable working in both factory and outdoor/construction site settings.
• Ability to build rapport quickly and present confidently to procurement teams and operational staff.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• A results-driven mindset with the financial motivation to exceed targets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with site managers, procurement officers, and key decision-makers in the road construction sector.
• Attend client meetings on-site, gather requirements, and present appropriate signage solutions.
• Re-engage a dormant client list and prospect for new business opportunities.
• Liaise closely with internal departments including accounts and design to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.
• Maintain records and activities on the CRM system (Pipedrive).
