Purpose of the Job

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our corrugated packaging sales team. This role focuses heavily on cold calling, prospecting, and developing new business with manufacturers, distributors, and companies that require corrugated packaging solutions.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development

Conduct high-volume cold calling to validate new leads and expand our customer base.

Win Business!

Categorise new business opportunities within assigned territories and industries.

Research and target prospective companies that utilise corrugate packaging:

  • Manufacturing facilities
  • Distribution centres
  • FMCG producers
  • E-commerce / retail packaging users

Lead Qualification & Pipeline Management

Schedule lead qualification calls, conduct site visits and complete needs analysis evaluations with prospective customers.

Maintain a robust CRM pipeline with accurate notes, next steps, and follow-ups.

Maintain a current and complete calendar within the CRM software.

Provide timely quotes and coordinate with estimating / production teams.

Prospective customer follow‑ups and objection handling.

Respond to emails within 24 hours and return calls the same day.

Deliver effective sales pitches highlighting:

  • Technical capabilities and compliance certifications
  • Competitive pricing
  • Lead time and service reliability
  • Quality consistency
  • Company pedigree

Customer Relationship Management

Build rapport and relationships with customers at multiple levels – purchasing, operations, supply chain, and production.

Follow up regularly on open quotes, samples, supplier registration documentation, and order statuses.

Address customer concerns and coordinate solutions with internal departments.

Internal Collaboration

Work closely with production, estimating, key accounts, and operations teams.

Communicating customer needs for custom printing, die cuts, structural design, pricing and special runs.

Provide market feedback to leadership regarding competitive activity and pricing trends.

Key Competencies

Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams. Ability to handle queries, resolve issues, and maintain customer satisfaction.

Problem Solving

Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Ability to work effectively with colleagues across various departments. Proactive, Responsible & Reliable. Experience with Microsoft Office & computer literate.

Required Minimum Qualifications / Experience
