Job summary

A travel support company in South Africa is seeking a dedicated office-based individual to provide vital support to Key Accounts Managers. Responsibilities include making reservations, preparing sales documentation, and following up on quotes. The ideal candidate should have Matric and preferably a qualification in Travel/Tourism, along with strong skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Flexibility to work after hours and weekends is required.

Job description
Core Purpose of the Role

This individual will be required to be office/desk bound and would be critical in playing a support role to the Key Accounts Manager/s within the Corporate, Travel, Government, Inbound and Film segments.

Key deliverables and outputs
  • Quoting and making reservations
  • Following up on Quotes Submitted
  • Prepare Sales documentation
  • Preparing new account application and supporting documents to send to Legal
  • Compile Monthly/Quarterly/Annual review presentations
  • Effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Responsible for weekend and after-hours bookings when on duty
  • General office administration
  • Monitor E-invoicing and prepare documentation for payment
  • Maintain rates and check wizard loading regularly
  • Updating customer profiles on Sales Force and logging call activities
  • New Business Cold Call Targets to be met weekly.
Academic Qualifications

Essential:

  • Matric
  • Qualification in Travel/Tourism - desirable
  • Drivers License.
Work Experience

Essential:

  • Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook is a necessity.
  • Previous experience within a support role dealing with both internal and external customers essential.
  • The position will require the incumbent to be willing to work after hours and weekends
  • Matric.
