The Role: Sales Administrator – Technical Quotes & Tenders

This role centres on preparing accurate high-quality quotations and tenders that empower the commercial team to deliver complete weighing solutions. You will ensure submissions are aligned to customer requirements, delivered on time and reflect the company's reputation for technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare technical quotations and tender documents for weighing systems and equipment
  • Perform advanced pricing calculations with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to align quotes with specifications
  • Track and manage tender submissions to ensure compliance and deadlines are met
  • Maintain organized records of all quotations and tenders
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers for clarifications and follow-ups
  • Provide general administrative support to the commercial team
About You
  • 3 years of experience in a sales or commercial department preparing quotes and tenders
  • Strong knowledge of technical sales documentation within industrial engineering or weighing equipment sectors
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, calculations, formatting)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transport
  • Willingness to work overtime during tender deadlines
  • Advantageous: Experience with public/private tenders in South Africa, pricing structures for technical products and strong problem-solving skills
