Sales Administrator / Sales Executive

Our client is a growing UK-based technology business operating within the education and public sector space. As the organisation continues to scale and introduce new solutions to market, they are looking to appoint a commercially minded Sales Administrator / Sales Executive to support and strengthen their sales function. This role sits at the heart of the commercial team and plays a key part in ensuring sales activity runs smoothly, efficiently, and consistently. It offers exposure across the full sales lifecycle and is well-suited to someone looking to build a long-term career in sales or commercial operations.

The Role

The Sales Administrator / Executive will be responsible for providing structured sales support, maintaining accurate data, and ensuring timely follow-up across all opportunities. Alongside core administrative responsibilities, the role will support outbound activity and, on occasion, assist with product demonstrations—particularly during new product launches. The position offers increasing responsibility over time, with the opportunity to become more customer-facing as experience and confidence grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales pipelines, and reporting
  • Prepare and issue proposals, pricing documentation, and contracts
  • Track opportunities through the full sales cycle and manage next steps
  • Support tender submissions and procurement responses
  • Handle inbound sales enquiries and qualify new leads
  • Schedule and support product demonstrations, with occasional delivery
  • Assist with outbound sales activity, including structured calling campaigns
  • Work closely with marketing to ensure leads are followed up effectively
  • Coordinate with account management to ensure smooth customer handovers
  • Support sales forecasting, planning, and internal reporting
  • Contribute to the improvement of sales processes, templates, and systems
  • Assist with event preparation and post-event follow-up
  • Gradually take on greater commercial and customer-facing responsibility
Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Experience in a sales administration, sales support, or commercial role
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems and sales data
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work independently
