Job summary

A leading mining company in South Africa is seeking a Data Processing Clerk to manage and capture safety data efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a Grade 12 or equivalent and at least 2 years’ experience in an administrative role, preferably within the mining industry. Responsibilities include maintaining safety records, participating in safety initiatives, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Reporting and filing of safety-related information are crucial, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years’ administration experience, preferably in a mining Safety department.
  • Declared medically fit for the position and environment.
  • Working knowledge of safety management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Capture and maintain safety data in the Safety System Databases.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in Safety campaigns or events.
  • Assist with general administrative duties.
