Our Client is seeking a Roaming Retail Store Manager to join their company in Gauteng – based in Elandsfotein.
Job Requirements
- Minimum: Diploma in Business Administration, Sales, or Marketing (NQF 6)
- Advantageous: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales, or Marketing (NQF 7)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail sales or marketing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role
- Strong computer literacy (MS Office Suite; other discipline‑specific software)
- Proactive, action-oriented, and results-driven
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Flexible and able to adapt to different store environments
- Strong planning, organising, and supervisory skills
- Customer-focused, resilient, and professional
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Job Duties
Retail Store Management (40–50%)
- Travel frequently between store locations and adapt quickly to different environments
- Implement strategic plans to achieve operational objectives
- Ensure merchandise availability, pricing policies, marketing, and security measures
- Maintain compliance with legal and company regulations
- Support production and operational efficiency
Sales & Business Administration (10–45%)
- Open new customer accounts and monitor sales performance
- Assist with credit processes and promotional initiatives
- Develop and grow market share and customer base in consultation with the Operations Manager
Compliance (10%)
- Operate within company policies, SHE regulations, and risk procedures
- Maintain accurate records and ensure financial and procedural compliance
Customer Service Management (20%)
- Maintain high levels of customer and stakeholder satisfaction
- Resolve issues promptly and professionally, minimizing comebacks
Staff Supervision (10%)
- Manage employee performance agreements, appraisals, and development plans
- Ensure training and development needs are addressed and employee relations are handled fairly
Cost & Financial Control (10%)
- Contribute to budgeting and financial planning
- Monitor and control expenditure, optimise company resources, and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Ensure gross profit is monitored and corrective action is taken if necessary
