Role Overview :

  • The Revenue Operations Manager plays a crucial role in managing our CRM systems supporting revenue intelligence and sales operations for both new business (hunting) and existing account management (farming) teams. The US sales team is comprised of approximately 25 team members. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator who can drive efficiency, improve forecasting accuracy, and enhance revenue growth strategies. This individual will manage comprehensive sales forecasting, detailed pipeline analyses, compensation planning including commission reporting, and deliver actionable data-driven insights to optimize revenue operations and efficiency.

Your Key Responsibilities :

In this role, you'll look after several key areas : CRM Management, Sales Forecasting & Pipeline Management, Sales Commission Planning / Reporting, and Sales & Revenue Analytics.

CRM Management :

  • Own and optimize Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar CRM platforms to ensure accuracy, data integrity, and usability.
  • Develop and enforce CRM best practices, sales enablement tools, and automation strategies.
  • Knowledge of sales enablement tools (Outreach, SalesLoft, Clari, Gong).
  • Support sales teams with training and adoption of tools like Outreach, SalesLoft, Clari, and Gong.
  • Perform pipeline analysis, identifying risks, opportunities, and trends.
  • Implement and refine processes to enhance forecasting accuracy.

Compensation Planning & Commission Reporting :

  • Design, manage, and refine sales commission structures and incentive plans.
  • Ensure accurate, transparent commission reporting and performance tracking.
  • Ensure incentive plans align effectively with strategic business objectives.
  • Analyze key sales metrics, including CAC, LTV, conversion rates, and churn.
  • Build real-time dashboards, analytics, and reports to support revenue teams and leadership.
  • Provide insights into sales team effectiveness, deal velocity, revenue trends, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify gaps in sales processes and recommend data-backed solutions to drive revenue growth and process optimization.
  • Serve as an operational advisor to the CRO / COO, delivering actionable insights.
  • Provide robust data-driven insights and operational support for strategic initiatives.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally and collaboratively :

  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, the People Team and Account Executive teams.
  • Align revenue operations with business goals and GTM strategy.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive process adoption.
  • Strong communication skills to drive process adoption within teams.
  • Ability to train sales teams on new tools and best practices.
  • Leading change management initiatives for system and process updates

Key Performance Indicators / Goals & Desired Impact :

  • Enhance the accuracy, completeness, and quality of sales forecasting.
  • Streamline and improve sales processes and operational efficiency.

  • Optimize compensation structures to drive sales performance and motivation.

Candidates must have these REQUIRED skills and proficiencies :

  • Based in South Africa, with the ability to work at least until 2 : 00 pm EST (US East Coast time).
  • Expert proficiency in CRM, Excel and analytical tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI, or equivalent)
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making and pipeline analytics.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to data integrity.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging confidently with senior leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Business Acumen Familiarity with SaaS metrics, deal structuring, pricing strategies, and revenue forecasting.
  • Excellent Communication & Leadership Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, train sales teams, and influence stakeholders.
  • Process Optimization & Automation Experience with sales enablement tools and automation strategies.

BEST QUALIFIED CANDIDATES will have these PREFERRED additional skills :

  • Prior experience in Technology, IT Managed Services, Cybersecurity, or SaaS industries.
  • Familiarity with recurring revenue models (subscription / SaaS).
  • SQL will be advantages.
  • Prior experience with a multi-national company preferred.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
  • Prior experience as system admin for various CRM systems, analytics platforms, and revenue forecasting as well as revenue intelligence platforms.
  • Prior experience in Revenue Operations methodologies, Sales forecasting models and quota planning) advantageous.
  • Adaptable and flexible to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Proactive & Strategic Thinker Able to anticipate operational challenges and implement solutions.
  • Detail-Oriented & Analytical Strong ability to interpret complex data and drive insights.
