Overall Job Purpose:
- The Research Co‑ordinator is responsible for all coordination and administrative support of all research processes within the research department.
Contracting and payroll support:
- Providing administrative support to ensure contracting and payment requests made by Deputy Deans: Research are processed in line with HR audit requirements and payments are accurate and time‑synchronously made.
- Liaising and collaborating with the National HR representative to resolve contracting, payroll, and payment queries.
Administrative Support:
- Providing administrative support in the implementation and upkeep of research projects.
- Create and distribute curated reports.
Research Administrative Support:
- Supporting the Deputy Dean: Research to organise training and onboarding of new academics and Research Associates.
- Supporting the Deputy Deans Research with the planning and rollout of research‑related workshops, training, symposiums and events.
- Providing Research Activity Tracking System (RATS) training to researchers.
- Supporting with the maintenance of the Research Hub and other online research platforms/databases.
- Pulling of online research platform/database data.
- Provide comprehensive support to facilitate the ethical clearance process.
- Work with researchers to ensure a smooth processing of payment requests when using Research Incentive Tracking System (RITS) funds.
Research Travel Co‑ordinator:
- Travel coordination for researchers attending both local and international conferences including arranging travel itineraries, car hire, booking accommodation and accommodating special requests.
- Research, review and book suitable accommodation.
Minimum Educational Requirement:
- 3 Year Diploma (NQF Level 6)
- Degree (NQF Level 7) preferably in Administration / Project Management
Minimum Work Requirement:
- 2-3 Supportive Administrative Assistant role.
