A reputable FMCG manufacturer in Johannesburg is seeking an immediately available Reporting Accountant to ensure financial reporting integrity. The successful candidate will prepare financial statements, manage consolidations, and ensure compliance with IFRS in a fast-paced environment. Candidates need a BCom degree and 3–5 years’ experience in financial reporting within FMCG or manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial or reporting accounting within FMCG or manufacturing.
• Ability to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Skills in managing month-end close processes, journals, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and management reports.

This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial reporting across multiple business units within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Based at the corporate offices in Johannesburg East, this role forms part of a forward-thinking finance division that partners closely with operational and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Perform group consolidations and ensure accuracy across multiple entities.
• Manage month-end close processes, journals, and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal reporting requirements.
• Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor queries.
• Partner with finance and operational stakeholders to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop and refine reporting tools, templates, and dashboards for leadership insight.

Job Experience & Skills Required

• BCom Accounting / Finance degree (Completed SAICA articles or CIMA advantageous).
• 3–5 years' post-articles experience in financial or reporting accounting within FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong technical understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
• Advanced Excel and ERP proficiency (SAP / Syspro advantageous).
• Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and deadline management.
