The Opportunity

Regional Operations Manager

Are you an operational powerhouse looking to lead regional end‑to‑end distribution excellence? Join us as the Senior Regional Operations Manager, where you will drive the strategic, data‑driven optimization of multiple Distribution Centers and make a real impact with a dynamic team.

What you\'ll need
  • Matric (Grade 12) – Essential
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain / Logistics / Operations Management / Business Management – Essential
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma or similar process-excellence framework – Advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years’ FMCG (or large-scale multi-site distribution/logistics) experience in a service-oriented supply-chain role
  • 3-5 years’ senior leadership experience managing substantial teams & budgets
  • Experience with third-party/TES supplier management – Advantageous
  • Exposure to unionised environments and CCMA conciliation/arbitration – Advantageous
  • Strong understanding of labour-market trends, TES industry, and current labour legislation
What you will be doing
  • Operational Leadership: Take charge of all DC functions—From SOP compliance to OTIF delivery—ensuring safety, efficiency, and excellence.
  • Strategic Execution: Design and deliver strategies tied to national objectives, using Lean/Six‑Sigma to drive continuous improvement.
  • Data & Analytics: Shape KPIs and predictive analytics for capacity planning, labour optimization, and cost control.
  • People & Culture: Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performance, values‑driven management team, fostering transformation and counting on your experience in union settings.
  • Stakeholder & Client Management: Be the trusted partner to key clients and TES providers, owning performance reviews and issue resolution.
  • Risk & Compliance: Enforce SHEQ standards, drive Business Continuity planning, and uphold all labour and legal frameworks (e.g., OHS Act, BCEA, Labour relations).
