Role Purpose

To be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring recycling programs to reduce waste and promote environmental sustainability across our organization. You'll work closely with internal departments, local authorities, and waste management providers to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and support the organization goals in environmental stewardship and operational efficiency.

Key Performance Areas

• Design, implement, and monitor effective recycling and waste management programs.
• Analyze waste streams and identify opportunities for increased diversion and recycling.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and municipal agencies to ensure efficient recycling operations.
• Educate staff and stakeholders about sustainable practices and recycling procedures.
• Track and report waste diversion rates and recycling performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
• Recommend improvements based on best practices in waste reduction and sustainability.
• Stay informed of trends and innovations in recycling technology and policy.

Qualifications and Experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Sustainability, Waste Management, or a related field is mandatory required.

Experience

• 2 to 3 years experience in a similar role within environmental services, waste management, or sustainability is an essential requirement; demonstrable experience working with waste audits or environmental impact assessments is desired; familiarity with circular economy principles and ESG frameworks will be an added advantage.
• Valid driver's license (to ensure you can travel to sites as and when required).
