Recruiter & Personal Assistant to the CEO (EOR & Recruitment Services)
Location: Cape Town, Gardens (office-based)
Working hours: UK business hours (with occasional after-hours/weekend availability for urgent matters only)
Remuneration: R32,000 basic + incentives + commission + medical aid and pension/provident contributions
Leave: 20 days annual leave + UK bank holidays

Role Overview

The Legends Agency is an Employer of Record (EOR) and recruitment business delivering solutions primarily in the UK, as well as the US, Australia, and the EU. We recruit top South African talent to work remotely or from our office in Cape Town, supporting the needs of international clients. We also have an SA division that recruits South African talent for South African companies.

I am hiring a Recruiter (80%) and Personal Assistant to the CEO (20%). This role is critical: you will manage recruitment across my portfolio to ensure consistent delivery, allowing me to focus on securing and growing major client relationships and driving revenue across EOR and recruitment services.

The ideal candidate has exposure to UK recruitment, thrives in a high-performance environment, and is energized by targets, quality delivery, and commercial outcomes.

Recruitment Focus Areas

You will recruit predominantly within the following sectors:

  • Rec-to-Rec
  • Sales
  • Marketing
  • Back Office / Operations
  • IT (approximately 20% hardware / 80% software)

You must be comfortable working with a CRM and ATS, managing pipelines, and operating with strong structure and urgency.

You will engage with senior stakeholders, including CEOs and decision-makers at respected organisations in London and internationally. A clear development path and performance-led career progression will be available for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities (Recruitment 80%)

You will own the recruitment process end-to-end and deliver consistent placements across my portfolio.

Daily Delivery & Candidate Management
  • Conduct a minimum of 12 interviews per day
  • Post and manage job adverts across the ATS and relevant job boards
  • Proactively headhunt candidates via LinkedIn and other channels
  • Shortlist, qualify, and present candidates to clients
  • Present candidate profiles in a UK-centric, professionally formatted manner
  • Conduct reference checks and verify candidate suitability
  • Regret and professionally manage unsuccessful candidates
  • Manage candidate and client communication as a daily priority
Client Delivery & Commercial Recruitment
  • Book and coordinate client meetings
  • Follow up on submissions and manage the process through to outcome
  • Negotiate offers, counteroffers, and closing stages
  • Support clients with salary benchmarking and quotations in GBP/EUR/USD
  • Meet with clients to qualify job specifications and expectations
  • Advise clients on relevant South African labour/legislative considerations (where required)
  • Achieve a minimum of 5 placements across Rec-to-Rec, Sales, Marketing, Back Office, and IT
Systems, Process & Pipeline Ownership
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date CRM and ATS pipeline
  • Master CRM functions, workflows, and reporting processes
  • Follow up on and close daily CRM tasks
  • Maintain a strong professional LinkedIn presence aligned to the role
  • Call and re-engage the existing client base to generate additional business
Additional Revenue Support
  • Upsell value-added services where appropriate (e.g., office space, IT support, provident fund, medical aid options, etc.)
  • Do invoicing and ensure process completion where required
  • Expedite onboarding processes for successful placement
Reporting Rhythm
  • Daily meeting with me to review:
    • Submissions made
    • ATS pipeline status
    • Priority roles and bottlenecks
    • Next actions and close plans
Personal Assistant Responsibilities (20%)

You will support me with structured, high-quality administrative and communications support:

  • Arrange and send a birthday gift to employees on their birthdays
  • Schedule and coordinate management and executive meetings
  • Book internal candidate appointments (The Legends Agency hires)
  • Conduct reference checks for internal candidates (The Legends Agency hires)
  • Keep my CRM and ATS accurate and fully up to date
  • Draft, post, and manage content on my LinkedIn account
  • Send LinkedIn messages for birthdays, promotions, new roles, and work anniversaries
  • Monitor and respond to incoming messages, escalating important items to me
The Ideal Candidate

I am looking for someone who is high-energy, ambitious, and performance-driven, with the professionalism to represent me and the business at a senior level.

You should have:

  • Exposure to UK recruitment and 360° South African recruitment
  • Strong recruitment capability and a clear understanding of what great looks like in delivery
  • Experience recruiting at pace (high-volume/high-output environments advantageous)
  • Familiarity with recruitment systems (CRM + ATS) and structured pipeline management
  • Excellent English communication (written and spoken), with strong spelling and grammar
  • A tertiary qualification (preferred)
  • A high-work-rate mindset: not a clock-watcher, and someone who believes effort drives results
  • The ability to keep up in a fast-moving environment and stay composed under pressure
