Job summary

An Independent International High School in Cape Town seeks a versatile individual to manage social media marketing and event logistics. About The Organisation And The Role

Cape Town Torah High is an Independent International High School, registered with the WCED, situated in Gardens, Cape Town. They are looking for a versatile and organised individual to oversee social media marketing, manage event branding and logistics, and serve as a liaison between key stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Education and Experience – Secretarial or Administrative degree, diploma or certificate is essential.
  • Minimum of 2‑3 years admin or project‑related work experience is essential; experience working in a school, academic or communal environment advantageous.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills – Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to serve as a brand ambassador in all communication and correspondence. Ability to communicate well with a wide variety of audiences (e.g. pupils, staff, parents and service providers) and address and resolve any problems that may arise in a calm and sensitive manner. Able to effectively respond to queries and deal with complaints.
  • Excellent Administration and Organisational Skills – Self‑motivation, with a sound work ethic, initiative and high levels of energy. Highly organised and efficient individual who can multitask and work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines. A flexible, self‑driven individual who is able to work autonomously while maintaining open channels of communication with a team. A proactive individual who uses their initiative to ensure service and performance are always to a high standard. Time and stress management skills.
  • Technology / Computer Skills – Excellent computer skills across a variety of devices and programmes including sound knowledge of the Google Suite. Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g. Canva) for poster/media creation. Familiarity with social media platforms and marketing strategies.
  • General – A good understanding of the Cape Town Jewish community, advantageous. An acceptance and willingness to become better acquainted with Jewish values and practices. An understanding of and a willingness to support the school’s values. As CTTH is a school that adheres to traditional values, teachers are expected to act in accordance with the spirit of these ideals, this includes modest attire and sensitivity to the beliefs of the school and students.
