A leading recruitment agency in Johannesburg is seeking a Project Manager to lead and deliver medium to large-scale projects. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in project management, with a strong understanding of Agile methodologies. To manage and deliver medium to large-scale projects — or multiple smaller initiatives — from initiation to completion, within agreed scope, budget, and timelines. This role requires a strong ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure project objectives are achieved with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver projects end-to-end within agreed scope, timelines, and budget
Lead cross-functional teams to execute project deliverables
Operate with a high level of independence and accountability
Manage stakeholder relationships and expectations
Develop and maintain detailed project plans
Monitor project progress, manage risks, and resolve issues proactively
Provide regular and accurate project status reports to stakeholders
Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily standups, sprint planning, refinements, retrospectives
Ensure consistent documentation and compliance with delivery frameworks
Preferred Certifications:
Agile / Scrum Master
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent
5–8 years experience in project management, ideally within a Project Management Office (PMO) or structured delivery environment
Proven track record delivering medium to large-scale projects or multiple concurrent initiatives
Experience operating in Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid environments
Strong understanding of project management methodologies and frameworks
Skilled in project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello, or similar)
Budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning expertise
Ability to manage Agile ceremonies and sprint-based delivery
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing ability
