Job Summary

The project manager will facilitate a product development team using Scrum/Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and the ability to manage multiple complex projects across various interfaces. The role ensures adherence to Agile principles, effective preparation of product and sprint backlogs, and maintenance of burn-down charts.

Roles and responsibilities

Project Management

• Manage each project’s scope and timeline.
• Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards at the end of each sprint.
• Develop plans to ensure timely delivery of team work.

Team Coaching and Facilitation

• Coach team members in Agile frameworks.
• Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration.
• Guide development teams to higher Scrum maturity.
• Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy working on it.
• Prepare CIO reports and Managing Executives on the needs by basis and running Steering committee.

Stakeholder Communication

• Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g., from customers or stakeholders).
• Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests.
• Effectively communicate progress and blockages to project managers/delivery managers.

Conflict Resolution and Problem Solving

• Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur.
• Help teams implement changes effectively.
• Ensure all change governance and standards are adhered to.
• Maintain code quality.

Qualifications

• Atleast 7 Years of relevant work experience as Project Manager or a similar role.
• Atleast 7 Years of relevant work experience in Project management in banking, with non‑negotiable experience: Strong Foreign exchange or Payments Experience preferably with SAFE/AGILE.
• Atleast 7 Years of relevant work experience in payments or Strong Foreign exchange.
• Good hands on work experience in Project Management principles (Project Schedule, Time, Cost /Budget, Resource – Management).
• Project Management Accreditations / Certifications / NQF or Degrees, Masters or Diplomas, ext.
• Strong communication skills.
• We are looking for candidates who can join immediately to 30 days of notice.

Technical Skills Required (Mandatory)

• Atleast 7 Years of relevant work experience in Project management.
• Atleast 7 Years of relevant work experience in payments or Strong Foreign exchange (non negotiable skill).
• Good hands on work experience in PowerPoint presentation, Microsoft Projects, Visio Diagrams, Excel, word – "all MS tools".
• Good hands on work experience in Project Management principles (Project Schedule, Time, Cost /Budget, Resource – Management).
• Project Management Accreditations / Certifications / NQF or Degrees, Masters or Diplomas, ext.
