Job description

We’re looking for an experienced SEO and Social Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and performance of SEO and organic social initiatives across multiple client accounts. This role blends SEO strategy, content marketing, social media management, and client service, and is ideal for someone who understands modern search (including AIO/AI‑assisted SEO), and can confidently manage projects, people, and client relationships.

You’ll be client-facing, collaborate closely with paid media and social teams, manage organic social accounts directly, and have at least one internal direct report.

Key responsibilities
SEO strategy and delivery
  • Own SEO programs across technical SEO, on-page optimisation, content strategy, and AIO/AI‑driven search
  • Translate SEO and content strategies into clear project plans, timelines, and deliverables
  • Oversee technical audits, site migrations, and SEO recommendations in collaboration with dev teams
  • Ensure SEO initiatives align with broader digital marketing and brand objectives
Organic social media management
  • Manage organic social media accounts as part of the overall content and SEO strategy
  • Plan and oversee social content calendars aligned with search insights, campaigns, and brand priorities
  • Monitor performance and optimize social content based on engagement and growth metrics
Content marketing and creative briefing
  • Lead SEO‑ and social‑led content planning across blogs, landing pages, and social content
  • Brief designers and content creators with clear objectives, messaging, formats, and timelines
  • Review content and creative for SEO best practices, quality, and strategic alignment
  • Apply AIO and entity‑based search thinking to both long‑form and social content
Client management
  • Act as the primary point of contact for SEO and organic social for assigned clients
  • Present strategies, content plans, and performance updates clearly to stakeholders
  • Manage timelines, scope, and expectations while maintaining strong client relationships
  • Identify upsell and growth opportunities across SEO, content, and social
People and project management
  • Line‑manage at least one internal team member (SEO specialist, analyst, or coordinator)
  • Delegate work, review output, and support ongoing development
  • Maintain high standards of delivery across multiple concurrent projects
Cross‑channel collaboration
  • Work closely with paid media and social teams to align keywords, messaging, and campaign insights
  • Share SEO and organic social learnings to inform paid and broader digital strategy
REQUIREMENTS

3–6 years’ experience in SEO, content marketing, and/or organic social (agency or multi‑client preferred).

Strong working knowledge of:
  • Technical SEO (crawling, indexing, site architecture, Core Web Vitals)
  • Content‑led SEO and on‑page optimization
  • AIO / AI‑assisted search and evolving SERP features
  • Organic social media management and content planning
  • Proven experience managing digital marketing projects end‑to‑end
  • Confident client‑facing communicator (written and verbal)
  • Experience managing or mentoring at least one direct report
  • Comfortable briefing designers and working with creative teams
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Nice to have
  • Experience managing social accounts for B2B or B2C brands
  • Familiarity with SEO and social tools (e.g., Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, GSC, native social platforms)
  • Broader digital strategy experience beyond SEO and organic social
