Overview

Production Planner / Production Manager

Important Note: This is a long-term, on-site mining project role in Africa. Candidates must be willing to work in remote, camp-based environments and commit to a multi-year overseas assignment. Project Location: Africa. Contract Duration: 3 Years (Overseas Assignment). Hiring Location: India (Delhi final in-person round).

Responsibilities
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate between mine, plant, and logistics teams to balance ore flow.
  • Track production KPIs (tonnage, grade, recovery, downtime) and identify bottlenecks.
  • Optimise manpower, machinery, and material movement for maximum productivity.
  • Ensure production targets are met with cost, quality, and safety controls.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives for throughput and reliability.
  • Report production performance and variances to senior management.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree in Mining / Mechanical / Industrial Engineering (or relevant discipline).
  • 8-18 years in mining, minerals, or heavy industry production roles.
  • Strong planning, coordination, and reporting skills with KPI ownership.
  • Experience in large-scale operations and multi-department coordination preferred.
  • Exposure to ERP / production tracking systems is a plus.
