Production Manager – Meat Processsing

Are you an experienced Production Manager with a strong background in meat processing or chilled food manufacturing?

We’re looking for a results‑driven leader to oversee our deboning operations, ensuring maximum yield, top‑quality output, and compliance with food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the deboning team to achieve daily production and quality targets.
  • Plan and coordinate production schedules, staffing, and workflow efficiency.
  • Monitor product quality, yield, and waste implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee maintenance, hygiene, and compliance with HACCP and GMP standards.
  • Track KPIs and report on production performance.
  • Manage departmental costs, rosters, and resource planning.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence across the team.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a high-volume chilled food or meat processing environment.
  • Proven people management experience in a unionized setting.
  • Strong knowledge of meat cuts, processing methods, hygiene, and waste control.
  • Certificate or Diploma in Production Management (or related field).
  • Experience as a Blockman or Butcher will be advantageous.
