Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Product Manager – Engine Additives & Fuel Additives will be accountable for driving business for Engine Additives and Fuel Additives in the Sub-Saharan Africa region in accordance with product strategy by respective regional product line managers.

Job Responsibilities
  • Execute business strategies for Engine and Fuel Additives to sustainably deliver strong results in the Sub-Saharan Africa region.
  • Manage product portfolio, life cycle of products, price, and margin management of the defined product segment to maximize growth and financial performance in the region.
  • Ensure alignment with Sales, and respective product line manager on strategy and tactics to successfully implement the business plan in pursuit of growth targets.
  • Liaise with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure supplies of products are in line with demand.
  • Partner with Marketing to identify growth opportunities, and market trends and to plan and deliver appropriate market messaging and product positioning to the customers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry/chemical engineering/mechanical engineering, or related field
  • Masters/Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management would be added advantage.
  • Must have minimum 5 years of experience in the lubricant, chemical or related industry.
  • Experience in customer facing role.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time and to participate in global discussions (evening meetings)
  • Excellent Communication & Presentation skills.
