Introduction

We are looking to recruit a permanent Picker/Packer/Checker (Order Well) to work for United Pharmaceutical Distributors (UPD). The role will be based at the Lea Glen Branch and will report to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Job Description
Job Purpose
  • To ensure that customer orders are correctly and accurately assembled in order to ensure a good customer experience.
Job Objective
  • Ensure that orders are assembled, that goods as per orders are assembled taking into consideration product description, quantity, batch and expiry date.
  • Ensure that FEFO principals of stock rotation are adhered to and that batch traceability is maintained.
  • Ensure that all errors found are corrected, recorded and reported to the supervisor.
  • Ensure that damaged stock is removed from an order, recorded and sent to stock control.
  • Ensure that packers use the correct material to pack orders and that warning labels are used where required.
  • Ensure that excess stock is packed away at the completion of a shift.
  • Ensure that all pick slips are retained for future reference purpose.

Knowledge
  • Knowledge of in-house Termlite system would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of UPD SOP’s w.r.t. order assembly, checking and packing

  • High attention to detail
  • Able to work under pressure.
Education
  • Grade 12 / NQF level 3
Minimum Experience
  • 1 years prior experience in the UPD outbound operations/pharmaceutical environment
