Job summary

A leading hospital network in South Africa is seeking a pharmacist to lead the pharmacy department. The role involves managing pharmaceutical stock and departmental budgets, ensuring efficient service delivery to both the hospital and public with 5-7 years of relevant experience required. Candidates with managerial experience will be given preference. The position is on-site and permanent.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years working as a pharmacist in a community or institutional/hospital pharmacy.
  • 3-5 years supervisory or managerial experience in an institutional/hospital pharmacy.

  • Lead and manage the people in the department.
  • Manage pharmaceutical stock (own, loan and consignment).
  • Manage and mitigate departmental risks.
  • Manage and control departmental budgets/finances.
