Job summary

A leading company in People Operations is looking for a skilled individual to manage day-to-day People Operations. The role demands a minimum of 2 years of experience and proficiency in Workday. You will be responsible for onboarding new hires, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and serving as the first point of contact for employee inquiries. Qualifications

  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills are required.
  • Working knowledge of relevant labour laws and regulations.

Job description

Join our team and youll be responsible for executing a consistent high quality end-to-end People experience. Working in the People department you will manage all day-to-day People Operations across the employee lifecycle including promoting high engagement and stakeholder management by implementing People initiatives and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.

You will play a vital role as we reimagine the labour market to make it work for everybody.

Your responsibilities
  • Act as a first point of contact for employee enquiries providing consultancy guidance and support regarding People topics.
  • Take ownership and assist in the implementation of our new HRIS Workday.
  • Ensure a smooth and positive onboarding experience for new hires as well as offboarding experience for leavers.
  • Issue accurate contracts contract amendments dismissal letters or termination agreements and other (contractual) documents.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies labour laws employment regulations including health and safety.
  • Completion of statutory Reporting (Stats SA Employment Equity etc).
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in People Function or People Operations roles.
  • Proficiency in Workday is essential.
  • Bachelors degree or formal training in Human Resources Business Administration or related field would be preferable.
  • Excellent communication influencing and relationship-building skills.
  • Working Knowledge of relevant labour laws and regulations.
