Join our established Cape Town team in a comprehensive People and Talent role that combines HR operations with office coordination. This maternity cover position offers the opportunity to support our people strategy across the full employee lifecycle while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
You'll work closely with leadership and team members, providing essential support across recruitment, employee engagement, compliance, and office management. Perfect for an experienced HR professional who enjoys variety and wants to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative tech environment.
Talent Acquisition SupportSupport end-to-end recruitment processes using Freshteam ATS to source tech talent. Partner with hiring managers on recruitment strategies and job descriptions. Strengthen our employer brand through LinkedIn content and coordinating industry MeetUps.
Employee Lifecycle ManagementManage onboarding and offboarding processes with comprehensive checklists. Serve as primary HR contact for employee queries and policy guidance. Handle HR administration including employee record updates and benefits coordination. Day to Day internal communication.
Culture & EngagementCoordinate in-office workdays and employee engagement events. Manage recognition programs including anniversaries, birthdays, and High Five Awards. Support wellness initiatives promoting work-life balance and mental health resources.
Compliance & DevelopmentEnsure compliance with South African labor laws and manage SETA requirements including WSP and ATR preparation. Coordinate learning opportunities through SPAN Academy and apply for MICT SETA grants.
Office CoordinationServe as secondary office contact for inquiries, vendor communications, and facility management. Support day-to-day office operations and provide administrative assistance as needed.
3-5 yearsin HR, People Operations, or similar coordination roles
ATS platform experience(Freshteam preferred) and HRIS knowledge
South African labor lawunderstanding and SETA submission process
Strong communicationand organizational skills
Event coordinationexperience and passion for developing workplace culture
Degreein HR, Psychology, Business, or related field preferred
