ENVIRONMENT

Take charge of transaction investigations while managing daily bank card operational queries as the next Payments Operations Analyst sought by a cutting-edge Digital Finance Platform. The company is renowned for delivering seamless digital experience, cost-effective services, and a customer-first approach and now wants your solid understanding of journals, debits and credits and experience in a banking, payments, or card operations environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong meticulous, operational and customer engagement skills.

DUTIES
  • Manage daily bank card operational queries and transaction investigations.
  • Process and monitor chargebacks, recalls, reversals, and force postings.
  • Liaise with Finance on journals, duplicate transactions, and transaction corrections.
  • Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly bank card reports.
  • Review and assist with the annual Card-Based Agreements in collaboration with Finance.
  • Engage with customers regarding disputed transactions and funding of accounts.
  • Make operational decisions and support CRM teams with escalated queries.
  • Attend PASA meetings as a bank representative (phase-in responsibility).
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
  • BCom or BCom-related Degree/Diploma, or relevant qualification with basic accounting knowledge.
Experience/Skills
  • Good understanding of journals, debits and credits.
  • 3–6 Years’ experience in a banking, payments, or card operations environment.
  • Strong operational and customer engagement skills.
  • Mature, detail-oriented, and confident decision-maker.
  • Afrikaans an advantage but not essential.
