The IIE Varsity College, Online Centre has a Part Time Supervisor for Early Childhood Experience

Job Purpose

The supervisor role involves observing student teachers studying for the Higher Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education. The supervisor will visit a student teacher at a designated ECD centre to observe one lesson in the age group 2-4 years, provide developmental feedback, and support the student teacher during a 3-week ECD work-integrated learning period.

Minimum Education Requirements

• A Bachelor of Education specializing in Early Childhood Development (ECD)/Foundation Phase OR Postgraduate Certificate in ECD/Foundation Phase, with the qualification including a focus on Early Childhood or Foundation Phase Teaching.

Minimum Work Experience Requirements

• At least 5 years of teaching experience in the Foundation Phase or Early Childhood Education, with experience supervising students.
