The Mine Overseer has the legal accountability with a 2.14.1 and a 2.13.12 appointment in terms of the MHSA section 26 of 1996. The main responsibility is to ensure that a dedicated section of the operational process operates effectively from a current and future best practice perspective. The Mine Overseer is responsible for managing and planning the development and provision of mining work practices, structures and services to contribute to safety, health, and sustained profitability of the Operational Area.
