Millwright
required for a water treatment company based in Ellisras / Lephalale (Limpopo)
Reporting to:
Engineering Supervisor (GEF)
Role Purpose
Provide electrical and mechanical support to the operations team to ensure optimal plant availability and reliable performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to the Maintenance Information System (MaintainX) and maintain an accurate Asset Register.
- Attend to breakdowns and prioritise jobs effectively.
- Perform routine servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance on electro‑mechanical equipment.
- Apply sound administration, HR and control procedures to meet performance objectives.
- Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in line with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and applicable ISO systems.
- Manage required stock levels.
- Monitor and report on electro‑mechanical plant conditions.
- Assist with specifications, sourcing, quality control, pricing, tendering and implementation of new electrical, mechanical and civil installations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Millwright (Section 13 or Section 26D).
- Electrical & Instrumentation experience advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintaining large electrical and mechanical installations.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Understanding of instrumentation and plant operating principles.
- Ability to troubleshoot systems effectively.
- Knowledge of maintenance and safety procedures, including correct tool handling.
- Ability to keep accurate records and interpret technical data.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- to effective working relationships.
- Basic understanding of the OHS Act.
- Knowledge of VSD applications.
- Medium voltage switchgear experience advantageous.

Requirements
- Medically fit for a water‑treatment plant environment (noise, dust, chemicals, confined spaces, heights, temperature variations).
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical work.
- Valid transport, willingness to travel and accommodation within the region.
- Availability for standby duties after hours and weekends.
