Package

R1 341 855,00 per annum (all-inclusive package)

Requirements
  • Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in a normal specialty.
  • Registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Radiology and current registration for 2025/2026.
Duties
  • Interview, investigate, diagnose and oversee treatment of patients.
  • Provide appropriate clinical care and supervise junior medical staff, improving quality of care.
  • Perform commuted overtime and after‑hour duties to ensure continuous, uninterrupted care.
  • Attend relevant administrative meetings such as mortality and near‑miss meetings, completing MEDICO legal documents on time (e.g., death certificates).
  • Participate in the academic programme and all activities of the Radiology department related to teaching and research.
  • Ensure proper, accurate record keeping as legally and ethically required.
  • Report to the head of unit on service delivery, clinical audits, and quality improvement plans.
  • Assist the Head of Unit to monitor, implement and adhere to compliance with National Core Standards in outreach programmes.
  • Prepare and write reports; assist the Clinical Head with administrative responsibilities.
