ABOUT THE ROLE

A leading wholesale footwear distributor is seeking a hands‑on Marketing Specialist to manage the full A–Z of marketing for a flagship brand.

This role operates at a Marketing Manager level and includes overseeing a senior graphic designer.

You will adapt global marketing strategies to the South African market, manage seasonal marketing cycles, and deliver campaigns that drive brand growth and consumer engagement.

This is a fast‑paced, highly collaborative environment with two other Marketing Specialists supporting different brands. They are experienced in both digital and traditional marketing, with strong agency and retail backgrounds.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 3–5 years’ experience in marketing management within footwear, fashion, or related consumer goods.
  • Strong strategic and operational marketing expertise, including campaigns, digital marketing, and market research.
  • Ability to localize global marketing strategies effectively.
  • Understanding of seasonal buying and promotional cycles.
  • Creative, energetic, enthusiastic, and solution‑driven.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong project management and organisational abilities.
  • Proficient in social media, email marketing, and analytics tools.
  • Relevant marketing degree plus working knowledge of design processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies aligned to global direction and local market needs.
  • Manage full end‑to‑end campaign execution across digital and traditional channels.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform strategy.
  • Work closely with the senior graphic designer to create engaging, brand‑aligned content.
  • Manage digital marketing activities including social media, emailers, and website updates.
  • Support brand activations, pop‑up stores, and marketing events.
  • Maintain consistent brand messaging across all platforms.
  • Report on campaign results and optimise future activity.
  • Meet performance standards and KPIs within required timeframes.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Start Date : Immediate (notice periods respected)
  • Location : Germiston (office‑based)
  • Hours : Monday to Friday, 08 : 00–16 : 30, with overtime during peak periods.
