Overview

Job title : Marketing and Events Coordinator

Job Location : Gauteng, Johannesburg

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaising with the respective editorial teams to identify target audiences, campaigns, and marketing opportunities.
  • Conceptualizing and briefing in 360 marketing campaigns to the relevant departments.
  • Executing marketing campaigns across different channels and reporting on performance.
  • Identify and approach possible sponsors for projects and negotiate sponsorship deals.
  • Planning and executing reader competitions and sponsorship campaigns.
  • Attend functions and events to ensure that operations run smoothly, troubleshooting should any problems or issues arise during the course of the function or event.
  • Organize branding at activation and events, liaising with event organisers to obtain best possible branding opportunities.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, including evenings and weekends, as well as be available to travel.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with sponsors and service providers.
  • Working closely with the Marketing and Subscriptions Team to execute on all marketing initiatives and to identify subscription opportunities.
Minimum Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary degree or diploma in marketing, communications or similar.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in event management and / or marketing.
  • Experience within a large corporate environment and sponsorship management would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of relevant software packages and applications.
  • Valid driver’s license
