Job summary

A leading consulting firm is seeking an experienced Industrial PLC Coder Programmer to work on projects including PLC coding and SCADA systems development. Ideal candidates will have 3-6+ years of experience, proficiency with Siemens TIA Portal, and strong fault-finding skills. Candidates must be willing to travel and work on-site at client premises as needed. The position offers a competitive salary of R 27 000 - R 38 500 CTC per month, plus overtime and a discretionary annual performance bonus.

Qualifications

• 3-6+ years working experience as an Industrial PLC Coder Programmer.
• Experience translating between PLC Code and GUI SCADAs + HMI.
• Proficient in cross-industrial PLC programming and IoT innovations.

Responsibilities

• Design and program PLCs including SCADAs and HMI.
• Conduct full commissioning of projects from start to finish.
• Troubleshoot and add features to coding projects.

Manufacturing Industrial PLC Coder Programmer ( Siemens / OR Omron)

Gauteng | Permanent Position

Matric Certificate

A relevant Engineering Degree or Diploma -will be an advantage but not essential

Own transport and driver’s license

Must be willing to relocate

Will be working at the company premises

• Must have 3- 6+ years working experience gained at Companies as an Industrial PLC Coder Programmer (Siemens / OR other)

Must have working experience of translation between PLC Code and GUI (Graphic user interface) SCADAs +HMI

Must have working experience using Siemens TIA Portal v17 -v20 and Siemens, Sematic Step 7 for PLC Programming.

Must have good working experience gained in doing panel wiring.

Fault finding skills.

Must have gained Project managing working experience as a PLC coding programmer and doing full commissioning from start to finish of PLCs Coding programming + SCADAs + HMI at the Clients Sites

Proficient in cross-industrial PLC programming, HMI design, SCADA system development, and IoT innovations, driving

Troubleshooting adding features on Coding and Programming projects from scratch.

Technological excellence and operational improvements and maintenance

Must be very willing to travel and work at the external Clients premises if needed.

Experience in SCADA programming

Optimized PID control loops for process stability

Experience on software designing of a PLC on a Laptop an advantage

Must be willing to work overtime when needed due to deadlines of Client needs. - there is overtime pay given

Must be willing to relocate closer to the company in Gauteng

Be able to start as soon as possible – preferably immediately

Salary : R 27 000 - R 38 500 CTC per Month + plus overtime pay ( Salary package is dependent on years, and skills acquired of relevant experience needed and gained regarding this Vacancy only) + Discretionary Annual Performance Bonus.

Please note there is a Pension Scheme which will be taken off your Net Salary, which is not negotiable. NB : The company does not pay half of the pension at all
