Job summary

A leading organization in Centurion is seeking an experienced legal, risk, and compliance manager. The role involves ensuring compliance with legal frameworks, facilitating communication between key stakeholders, and managing organizational risks. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in Governance, Risk and Compliance, including 5 years at a senior management level. Relevant qualifications in law or finance are essential, along with GRC certifications. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years working experience in Governance, Risk and Compliance.
  • Five (5) years at Senior Management level is required.
  • Relevant GRC Certifications (i.e. CIA, CRISC, CRPM Prac, CPrac / CProf), or equivalent.

  • Ensure that the company operates within legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Facilitate communication between the board, senior management, and stakeholders.

Job description

Leads the design, implementation and maintain effective legal, risk, compliance, business continuity and client contractual management practices within the organisation. It further carries responsibility for enabling a proactive risk culture, driving integrated assurance, overseeing client contractual compliance, and supporting executive and board - level decision making.

Key Deliverables / Primary Functions
  • Ensure that BCX operates within legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Facilitate communication between the board of directors, senior management, and various stakeholders.
  • Identify, assess, prioritize, and monitor risks that could impact the organization's objectives and report on them to key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement risk management including Business Continuity strategies and policies.
  • Ensure that BCX complies with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Establish and maintain a compliance management system.
  • Establish and maintain a client contractual management system.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to legal, risk and compliance.
  • Prepare regular reports to relevant stakeholders on the organisation’s legal, risk and compliance performance.
