Job summary

A well-established educational institution in Hoedspruit is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of all equipment, facilities, and infrastructure within and around the Packhouse. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance management, including preventative maintenance planning, along with hands-on experience in a mechanical or electrical trade. A relevant qualification in Maintenance Management or a related field is essential. Prior packhouse experience is advantageous.

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of all equipment, facilities, and infrastructure within and around the Packhouse.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Strategic Planning: Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in maintenance management, including preventative maintenance planning and asset management.
• Technical Foundation: At least 1 year of direct, hands‑on experience in a mechanical, electrical, or related technical trade.
• Education: A relevant qualification in Maintenance Management, Planning, or a specialized Mechanical/Electrical field.
• Agricultural Insight: Prior experience operating within a packhouse environment is highly desirable and will be considered a significant advantage.
