Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm in East London seeks a skilled Machine Operator. This position involves supporting the assembly line and conducting operational checks. Candidates must possess a Matric certificate, have experience in manufacturing, and be willing to work shifts. Familiarity with Garp and OEE systems, alongside the ability for basic repairs and fault finding, is essential. Qualifications

• Experience as a Machine Operator with in house training.
• Knowledge of Garp and OEE systems.
• Familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health laws.

Responsibilities

• Support the assembly line and packing line.
• Complete hourly checks sheets and daily scrap sheets.
• Learn to do basic repairs and maintenance on machines.

• Computer literate
• Knowledge of Garp and OEE system
• Must be willing to work shifts
• Required to learn to do basic repairs and maintenance on all machines
• Must do fault finding as part of operational duty
• Must be familiar with Occupational Safety and Health laws and other applicable regulations
• Required to support the assembly line and packing line
• Must be able to complete Hourly checks sheets and Daily scrap sheets
• Must understand Quality plans, product drawings, BOMS
