Groups and Incentives Consultant

A rare opportunity has opened within one of Africas most iconic travel companies, known for meaningful journeys, sustainability, and unforgettable luxury adventures. They are looking for a Groups and Incentives Relief Consultant to join their team in Johannesburg.

This is a pivotal support role where you will step in and manage consultant portfolios during periods of leave, high volume, or special projects. You will help design and execute group travel experiences that run effortlessly, all while contributing to a high-performing and supportive team culture.

What you will do:

  • Fully manage bookings, quotes, proposals, and operations during consultant absences
  • Support educational trips for agents and hosted groups
  • Follow up on provisional bookings and revive dormant leads
  • Contribute to Small Group Journeys and sourcing new suppliers
  • Assist with booking systems, processes, and occasional travel with groups

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of inbound tour consulting experience
  • Deep knowledge of the travel industry and destinations across Southern and East Africa
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organisational skills
  • A client-first attitude with the ability to work independently under pressure
  • Familiarity with Tourplan, Wetu, and Microsoft Office is advantageous
