Volunteer Opportunity – Scouting Social Entrepreneurs for Ashoka Southern Africa

Location: Remote (preferably based in Southern Africa)

Time Commitment: 1–2 days per week until the end of August (with possible extension)

Since , our Southern Africa office, based in Johannesburg, has supported Ashoka Fellows across South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, Lesotho, and Eswatini.

Your Role

We are looking for a dedicated volunteer to help scout potential candidates for the Ashoka Fellowship – visionary changemakers solving deep-rooted social issues in fields such as:

• Education and youth empowerment
• Technology for humanity
• Climate and the environment
• Access to healthcare

Who You Are

• Curious, committed, and passionate about driving social impact
• Comfortable working in English (spoken and written)
• Organized and proactive, with project management or research skills
• A background or interest in social entrepreneurship is a strong advantage
